A general body meeting of the Karachi Bar Association was held in Karachi on the issue of the case filed against the lawyers by YouTuber Rajab Butt. His lawyer will come to the Karachi Bar on January 3.

The bar withdrew its call for an indefinite strike. “Rajab’s lawyer’s position will be heard, and no further action will be taken on the case filed against the lawyer”, Aamir Nawaz Raich. President Aamir Nawaz Warraich said that Rajab Butt’s lawyer, Mian Ali Ashfaq, has contacted him.

Ali Ashfaq wants to resolve the matter amicably. “We also want the issue to be resolved through talks”, the Karachi bar president said.

If the matter is not resolved, an FIR will also be filed by the lawyers.
